The series of this project concerned an invitation to participate in a group exhibition hosted by the Municipality of Athens City, currated by George Georgakopoulos and Foteini Kapiris.
The brief focused on the architecture of the space the exhibition took place in. An old neoclassical typica athenian abandonded building, of his- torcal importance.
My art piece exhibited there had the element of size that was in dialog and connected it with the space, having its prolonged shape and large size incorporating the building and having the building’s elements
incorporating the art work in it. The piece was hanging from the first floor and was expanding down to floor of the ground floor. What follows is the generative text concerning the ideas around the content of the project.

Σε αντανάκλαση του διαχρονικού ερωτήματος περί της επιβίωσης της εικόνας και της επικοινωνίας νοημάτων, στο έργο rythms of digital parasite/ paradise replications επιχειρείται ο σχολιασμός περί του γενικότερου κορεσμού της οπτικής και όχι μόνο πληροφορίας του οποιου είναι δέκτες τα σύγχρονα άτομα.
Ο υποβιβασμός της αξίας κάθε εικόνας της οποιας είμαστε παραλήπτες είναι συμπτωματικό συμβάν, μιας και η πληθώρα των εικόνων που χορεύουν παντού γύρω σε υπερπροσφορά κάνει κάθε μοναδική εικόνα κάθε μοναδικό έργο λιγότερο μοναδικό και χορεύοντας χάνεται.
Το rythms of digital parasite/paradise replications
είναι ένα ψηφιακό έργο υπό την μορφή αναλογικής σύνθεσης –συνθετικών εικόνων. Συνίσταται από ένα σύνολο επεξεργασμένων εικόνων ή “χαλασμένων” αρχείων – glitch, με θεματική αναφορά στα ψηφιακά παράσιτα και στην αποπροσανατολιστική υπερέκθεση σε πληροφορια –οπτική και μη- με την οποια έρχεται αντιμέτωποσ ο σύγχρονοσ άνθρωπος .
Χάος, ρυθμός του χάους, εικόνες σε παράταξη μισο-κρυμμένες πάντα επανερχόμενες, ρυθμικά επαναλαμβανόμενες, παραμορφωμένες, μονίμως επαναδιατυπωμένες, εκ νέου νοηματοδοτημένες.
Εικονολατρική πρόθεση προς την αποδομιμένη εικόνα, αισθητική αποπροσανατολισμού με πρόθεση ανάδειξης και εορτασμού της λανθασμένης ή της λανθάνουσας, της μη σπουδαίας εικόνας. Αυτής του λάθους. Όμορφα ψηφιακά απόβλητα της παραδείσιας ουτοποιίας του ίντερνετ_

Useful, ad-hoc information, and mild aesthetic pleasure. Pleasing meditative rythm_ The treatment must be forgotten or remain eternal.
To prolong the happy moment of the time of remembrance
In reflection of the timeless question of the survival of the image and the communication of meanings, through the artwork “rythms of digital par- asite/paradise replications” an attempt is made to comment on the
general saturation of the visual and not only information of which contemporary people are receptive and passive - agreessive consumers and pro- ducers.
The devaluing of every image we are the recipients of is a coincidental event, as is the multitude of images dancing all around. Abandance, or even oversupply makes every single image, every single work less unique and they dancing away.
The rhythms of digital parasite/paradise replications is a digital work in the form of analog composition – synthetic images, a synthesis of in- formation and form.
It consists of a set of processed images or “broken” files - glitch, with a thematic reference to digital parasites and to the disorienting over- exposure to information - visual and non- which modern man is confronted with.
Chaos, rhythm of chaos, arrayed images half-hidden always returning, rhythmically repeated, distorted, constantly reformulated, re-meaning. Iconoclastic intention towards the deconstructed image, aesthetics of disorientation with the intention of highlighting and celebrating the wrong or the latent, the unimportant image.

As seen, the theme of the project has been a trigger for more artwork to be produced, around the topic of rythm and parasites and the balanes of the
parasite and the host. The further outcomes one more were silk prints and experiments on various printing surfaces took place.
